An unfinished sketch I have worked on for many hours now, mainly because of all the detail in the piles of paper. However I like how this is turning out, looks like it becomes better ad better the more time I put into it.
Just a rather quick sketch of a character called Jaffar from Risen 2, I love his design so much I think he might be the most genius character design I have ever seen.

My first of three "Early Bird" illustrations, I guess the story here is a robot employee who got early to work where he repairs the thousands of clockwork parts for his factory.

I have never really drawn electronic stuff and robots before, I always was more of a woods and forest guy, but just putting pipes, bolts and gears together in a strangely organic way was pretty fun and defiantly something I have to look more into later.
Perhaps I could try make machinery and nature together, I already have ideas for mechanical trees covered in bark and moss.

Another attempt at solving this cursed assignment "Early Bird" I fear I won't be able to create something decent in time.
I am trying to make something quite different but every time I try it slips away!
I will try one more thing to solve this assignment, if that does not do the trick I will start over from scratch and hope to finish something good for once.

Something new today!
My first ever speed paint video, I mainly made this to learn how to record and edit for later use. The drawing took about 12 minutes as I am still pretty new to this.

My latest school project, I don't feel completely done but the customers seemed satisfied.

More fun with 3D. I got much more control now making the style much more floating.

A bunch of speed painted characters I made in photoshop.
Spent about two or three minutes on each.

Made this illustration for a school assignement with the theme "Early Bird"
I love how this turned out, I made everything from scratch digitally and even got to use the 3D tools in Photoshop.
I might edit this piece later, thinking about adding a sweet clock background I made earlier.

This is a milestone for me, a concept art piece for a school project.
I spent hours trying to understand photoshops logic with painting and eventually I managed to make this, a finished product illustrated completely in photoshop.
This style is inspired by the art of Rayman Origins but I put in a lot of my own style as well and I like the result.
The smell of progress.

Been far to long since I drew any monsters, I gotta say I have improved since last time.

A crystal cave concept. Trying to add as much detail as possible.
The first sketch fixed on my new macbook pro and photoshop cs6!

A quick sketch based on a crazy film I saw on youtube. I will paint these pages soon.
When I first sketched this thing I was only doodling real quick, the matter of secounds. I did not like this sketch at all at first, it looked like something drawn by a child or a man who managed to completely unlearn every basic law of drawing. But then I painted it by simple curiousity and I have to admit I actually love this drawing now, it is a fun and childish yet seriously "thought out" design. Simple and cute.

More FogLand concepts: Shreg the keeper of shrooms.
I feel this style is really speaking to me, its quickly drawn, it stands out (especially when drawn with some effort put into it) and is easy to comunicate with and understand and I still get to draw lots of details even tho it is quite an open flat type of style.

My two most "well" designed characters from FogLand: Baldric and Söp.
This is the first time I really drew them together and I have a feeling they have some adventures ahead inside my tiny sketchbook.

A couple mushroom guys and my favorite character Söp from Fogland.
Thsi is the first time I draw Söp with clothes, I figured he needed to stand even more out after I found out more people than me have designed mushroom men quite alike, but now in his new shirt / tabard he stands out once more and it opens more possibilities for other characters as well making characters from FogLand even more interesting to design.

It gets more fun to draw seeing even the bad doodles becoming strange concepts like this snail and the sneaky stranger hiding in the back.
Thinking about how bad the sketch for this piece was makes me realize how good results I must get from a good sketch.
Two more painted pages from my sweet K.E.M sketchbook.
A castle in the skies and a small rock bridge.

More training. practice makes better, every single day.
More open style experiments, this is a concept for a village in FogLand. Fogland is my "universe" wich I fill with strange characters and places, I hope that some day I can put it all together in form of a book or something, as every character I create has a backstory and every place I build has a history I hope I can give FogLand a story to remember.

Once againt trying to improve my style, last time I tried to add as many details I could, now I try to leave as much open space as possible, alsmost like working with positive and negative flaths of darkness and light.

Another troll-like painting, here is a swamp giant and a nymph. I will make more sketches of these characters later to show them off a little better. Thsi painting took about ten minutes to sketch and around one hour to paint.

My character "Söp" meets the swamp troll "Balüd"
This painting is actually made with pretty much yellow and red watercolour, I made it black and white to give it a classic norwegian troll style.

last one with this style for now, I really like to see the small improvements I'm doing, it shows me I am not stuck up by thinking I master something but it shows that I know myself what I'm doing wrong at that I manage to improve my own flaws without doing nothing exept beeing aware of what I can not do propperly.

Another with the strange style, I wish I had taken more time with hte paint, and next time I paint I will not to it in a completely dark room... everything I made in the dark room was yellow with a sence of puke.

Feel I nailed a new style, this could come in handy as it was quick to make and really expressional as well. Made a couple more samples of this tecnique.

A quick concept for an illustration I have as school work, the "early bird" I feel I am starting to really like surrealism so I try to merge it into my own style.

Two pages from my new sketchbook, I have started to make several small sketches like these on the train and I paint them with watercolour when I get home. I really love how the sketchbook fills with life as I bring colour into my sketches.
I find this a great way to improve painting skills, I speed draw first and speed paint later, this already makes me think faster, imagine faster and wider as I constinatly have to make up new thisngs as I go, after doing this every day for a week I see small improvements in the big picture.

This was the first time I tried using ink and brush and I gotta say the results was epic, too bad I did not take more time to draw more decent before using the ink.

I know for sure I will try making more with ink in the future, it was fun and the results are great even if the base drawing is terribly drawn.

This is a detail from a comic I made as school project.
