My first of three "Early Bird" illustrations, I guess the story here is a robot employee who got early to work where he repairs the thousands of clockwork parts for his factory.
I have never really drawn electronic stuff and robots before, I always was more of a woods and forest guy, but just putting pipes, bolts and gears together in a strangely organic way was pretty fun and defiantly something I have to look more into later.
Perhaps I could try make machinery and nature together, I already have ideas for mechanical trees covered in bark and moss.

Another attempt at solving this cursed assignment "Early Bird" I fear I won't be able to create something decent in time.
I am trying to make something quite different but every time I try it slips away!
I will try one more thing to solve this assignment, if that does not do the trick I will start over from scratch and hope to finish something good for once.

This is a milestone for me, a concept art piece for a school project.
I spent hours trying to understand photoshops logic with painting and eventually I managed to make this, a finished product illustrated completely in photoshop.
This style is inspired by the art of Rayman Origins but I put in a lot of my own style as well and I like the result.
The smell of progress.

When I first sketched this thing I was only doodling real quick, the matter of secounds. I did not like this sketch at all at first, it looked like something drawn by a child or a man who managed to completely unlearn every basic law of drawing. But then I painted it by simple curiousity and I have to admit I actually love this drawing now, it is a fun and childish yet seriously "thought out" design. Simple and cute.
More FogLand concepts: Shreg the keeper of shrooms.
I feel this style is really speaking to me, its quickly drawn, it stands out (especially when drawn with some effort put into it) and is easy to comunicate with and understand and I still get to draw lots of details even tho it is quite an open flat type of style.

A couple mushroom guys and my favorite character Söp from Fogland.
Thsi is the first time I draw Söp with clothes, I figured he needed to stand even more out after I found out more people than me have designed mushroom men quite alike, but now in his new shirt / tabard he stands out once more and it opens more possibilities for other characters as well making characters from FogLand even more interesting to design.

More open style experiments, this is a concept for a village in FogLand. Fogland is my "universe" wich I fill with strange characters and places, I hope that some day I can put it all together in form of a book or something, as every character I create has a backstory and every place I build has a history I hope I can give FogLand a story to remember.

last one with this style for now, I really like to see the small improvements I'm doing, it shows me I am not stuck up by thinking I master something but it shows that I know myself what I'm doing wrong at that I manage to improve my own flaws without doing nothing exept beeing aware of what I can not do propperly.
Two pages from my new sketchbook, I have started to make several small sketches like these on the train and I paint them with watercolour when I get home. I really love how the sketchbook fills with life as I bring colour into my sketches.
I find this a great way to improve painting skills, I speed draw first and speed paint later, this already makes me think faster, imagine faster and wider as I constinatly have to make up new thisngs as I go, after doing this every day for a week I see small improvements in the big picture.

This was the first time I tried using ink and brush and I gotta say the results was epic, too bad I did not take more time to draw more decent before using the ink.
I know for sure I will try making more with ink in the future, it was fun and the results are great even if the base drawing is terribly drawn.
